Tot School: Letter A for Apple – Overview
Tot School week 1 (18th – 24th March 2013) @ Debo 19months
Alphabet : A for Apple
Theme: Fruits
This is our very first week of tot schooling, and seems still a lots need to be improved, still have many materials not yet completed.. ha… too tired in preparing…
Here are the activities we going to carry out in this week:
From top left: Moving alphabet a and apple, Numbers flash card, Fruits picture and words flash cards (Chinese & English), Malaysia Flag flash card, books
From bottom left: Worksheets, Fruits basket (Big and small fruits), Letter A box, Tot Tray which included Fruits puzzle, small colour magnets, ELC fruits match up card, Fruits match card in Chinese, Photographic memory cards, Letter A 3D craft card
White and blackboard bought from IKEA, offer price RM70plus for member and RM90++ for non member ( I only realised after paid … oo… I am not a member !!!) I had draw some letter A and an apple on it.. like it ~~
In the letter A box consist of Letter A sandpaper, many letter A that I cut from magazine, an apple eraser that I bought from Daiso, some pictures that start with letter A included: Ant, Alligator, Acorn, Apron, and Apple.
Since this week theme is Fruits, I had prepare fruits basket with few fake fruits in it… Big fruits were contributed by granma and those small fruits were bought from Daiso and “contributed” from granpa… Other paper fruits were cut from magazine and supermarket catalogue.
Books: fruits, 小鲁的苹果圆 (storybook), 奇妙的生物世界 - 蚂蚁 (Encyclopaedia book about Ant)
Only three books I able to find that related to this week theme, the two Chinese books were borrow from public library and Fruits book was bought in Popular during offer RM9.90 for 3 books. Baby Debo like the Ant book as she always like to see and speak “Ant…Ant…”. This book is very informative, very clear, interesting, I like it as well.
